Seamus Patrick McCabe...the wee irishman has arrived!

Saturday May 16th, 2009 started off with Jamie and I heading to the Brigham and Women's Hospital for a routine procedure to soften my cervix in hopes of stimulating labor. Due to the baby having some funky drops in heartrate while on the fetal monitor, the doctor decided to keep us for another test. After flunking that test, we found ourselves being moved very quickly into the OR for a C-Section. Minutes later, at 12:03 pm, Seamus Patrick McCabe emerged with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 4 times, which explains the funky heartrate! The doctor referred to him as a "jump-roper". Although a peanut at 5lbs 13 oz and 19.5 inches long, Seamus is doing fine! We came home yesterday and we are adjusting to our new life! Enjoy some pics of our little man... Our first family photo!
