Two weeks ago, Seamus gave up his binky. He was only having it at night anyway, but he was pretty attached. The first few nights were a little rough-he usually goes down without a peep, but after 2-3 nights crying himself to sleep and asking Mommy and Daddy for "binky, binky, binky, binky" (no joke-he said it about a million times before his head even hit the pillow), we are proud to say that he is Binky Free. Unless you count the morning Jamie went in and found him with a big grin and a binky in his mouth-I guess he had one hidden somewhere in the crib! hahaha...
A few days later, Mommy and Daddy happened to be in Seamus' room together, getting him up from his nap, when he hurled his left leg, followed by his torso over the crib!!!! Luckily, Mommy has cat-like reflexes and was able to prevent a fall. Needless to say, we went out and got bed rails that day, and Seamus is now in a real bed! The first night we put him in the bed, he let out the cutest giggle-as if he was getting away with something! So far, he has been staying put, and waits for us to come get him. Lets hope this good behavior continues!
